The Itai Armon Ensemble is an instrumental group performing original music that blends diverse musical styles, including jazz and Western classical music, with world music and ancient Eastern traditions. Their sound exists at the intersection of East and West, old and new.
The performance is based on Itai Armon’s original compositions and the virtuosic playing of the ensemble members. It incorporates improvisational segments that express each musician’s talent and inner world, making every concert fresh and distinct from the last, a unique, one-time experience created in the moment by the performers, drawing the audience into an immersive musical journey.
The fusion of the Persian tar and kamancheh – ancient instruments from the Persian tradition, alongside traditional Arabic instruments such as oud, qanun, and ney, as well as the Armenian duduk, meets Western classical guitar and electric bass to create a unified and deeply moving sound.
